Royal Caribbean is one of our clients' favorite cruise lines. They released the details of their next ship - Icon of the Seas on October 20th. Of course, we don't have ALL the details but what we do have is pretty amazing stuff!
Here are just a few of the highlights:
SurfSide - This neighborhood is designed for families with SplashAway Bay and an adult pool right next to it - so kids have fun and parents can relax too! There are eateries, an arcade and the cabins in this neighborhood are designed especially for families with bunk beds, nooks, etc.
Central Park - 13,000 plants now including more trees and plant walls. Redesigned with warm tones and green shutters on the cabins. These cabins have also been redesigned with infinite balconies, which give you more cabin space with the fresh air and balcony feel when you desire.
AquaDome - During the day, it's a wonderful place to relax and enjoy panoramic views and dining options. In the evening, it transforms to a performance space including the aqua show. The enclosed space of the AquaDome allows for more immersive entertainment and is not affected by the weather.
HideAway - The first ever suspended infinity pool - 65 feet above ground. There's also a terrace lounge area and a DJ in this area.
There are 7 pools including one with a swim up bar, new waterslides offering additional thrills, redesigned cabins and new cabin classes, the signature Lime and Coconut bars including a new frozen drink bar.
Icon is an exciting, complete redesign - just as the Oasis Class was in 2009. Every aspect of this beautiful ship has been updated, redesigned or created. There is a major focus on staying connected to the ocean and you'll see this in cabin designs, in the layout of the pools, lounge areas, etc. She is designed to be a complete vacation, not just a cruise!
The question is WHY BOOK NOW?
Itineraries are available until 2025 from Miami to the Eastern and Western Caribbean. The ship will fill up quickly. We see the chats and the FB groups. Everyone is anxious to book a vacation on Icon!
FlexPay is a way to schedule automatic monthly payments. With itineraries starting in January 2024, this gives you time to time to plan and budget.
Because of demand for this ship, cabin costs will increase as time goes on. Locking in a cabin now, will save you money. Also, KIDS SAIL FREE is in effect until October 31, so this is a great time to take advantage of Royal Caribbean promotions.

What do I need to do?
Even if you are a "do it yourselfer", this is one time you don't want to. Everyone will be booking and there will be long hold times for call centers, chats, etc. Agents have resources not available to the public.
